Check SAPOSCOL in SAP
Check in transaction ST06 or ST06N or OS06 the operating system collector status. If it is not running you will see warning message like this:

Logon to OS with user adm and execute following UNIX command to check SAPOSCOL status:

Clean shared memory if attached
If you see that shared memory is attached but SAPOSCOL process is not running you have to clean the memory before starting the system collector. Example of SAPOSCOL command:
Check again if shared memory was cleaned. To do this execute following SAPOSCOL command:
If you still see shared memory attached and you can not clean it with “clean” command then you have to kill the SAPOSCOL process. To do this execute following SAPOSCOL command:

Start system collector
If the memory is clear you can start the SAPOSCOL. To do this execute following SAPOSCOL command:
Check if system collector is running. To do this execute following SAPOSCOL command:
Leave system collector dialog mode
To leave the dialog mode of SAPOSCOL execute following SAPOSCOL command:
